The Painted Skin

The Painted Skin is an old fairy tale that I chose to adapt into a beat board. In storytelling, beats represent key turning points that drive the narrative forward, such as the opening image, inciting incident, nadir, or climax. This final project challenged me to use composition, camera framing, and lighting to convey the story effectively. By focusing on a single frame, I chose to work with line art and varying line weights to emphasize hierarchy, depth, and spatial relationships within the composition.
